Sri Kaveri Jewellers began as a small karigar's workshop a few lanes from the Kapaleeshwarar temple in Mylapore, Chennai — a neighbourhood that has shaped South Indian temple jewellery design for generations. What started with a single artisan hand-engraving nakshi work has grown, across three generations, into a full showroom — but the hand-finishing on every piece is still done in-house, not outsourced.
What we believe
- Purity, always disclosed. Every gold piece is BIS hallmarked with a unique HUID, and we show you the exact metal weight, making charge and wastage — not just a final number.
- Tradition, worn today. Our design team studies temple sculpture and antique pattern books, then reworks proportions for how jewellery is actually worn now — lighter, more wearable, still unmistakably South Indian.
- Craft over speed. Hand-engraved nakshi and kemp-setting work can take a karigar 7–10 days per piece. We don't rush it.
